20 Sept 2014

OK I totally forgot to mention bout Friday's class which was related to Setup - Hold basically. I have to admit 'twas kinda hard to stuff all that in my tiny head in that short amount of time. Although our Sir's intro to the topic made it easier.
Saturday's class was definitely better since 'twas bout "Basic Gates" and muxes and all that. The linux session later and writing verilog code in the linux-type OS was quite informative.
This will definitely require practice.
Hope to understand to the fullest!

13 Sept 2014

Friday, we learnt about the Migration, or the improvement of Fab Technology from the ASIC world to the SoC paradigm. We also learnt the System on Chip (SoC) design flow, and the importance of verification.
Then moved on to familiarizing ourselves with the basic Linux commands.

Today, we were taught about the basics of CMOS, PMOS, and NMOS, and creating logics (gates) using these. Then we learnt about stick diagrams, and layout and also created layouts of AND, NAND, NOT gates in MICROWIND (which will require practice).
(Hope to understand to the fullest).

6 Sept 2014

Our first ADLD class which was 4 hours long! :P
Learnt the ASIC flow, and our lecturer made sure we learnt it well. I will put my effort to familiarize with the flow.
We also learnt some basic commands in Linux, which will require a lot of practice to get used to the CUI.
Hope we understand everything well.
